HCC Hosts Its First Networking Lunch

By Jason LeDay · June 16, 2026

Last week, the Houston Corrosion Committee hosted its first networking lunch — and it was a great reminder of why this group was created in the first place. As a leader in this industry, I take pride in building strong, connected teams. One of the best ways to do that is simple: listen. During our last quarterly meeting, several people mentioned that although they work in the same corridors, communicate on the same projects, and support the same industry — many had never actually met face-to-face. That stood out to me. So we created an opportunity for corrosion professionals to step away from emails and phone calls, sit down together, share stories, and build real relationships. When people know each other personally, teamwork improves, communication gets easier, and the willingness to help one another grows quickly. That is exactly what we are building through the Houston Corrosion Committee — not just a contact list, but a true corrosion network. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the first networking lunch a success. We also appreciate The HR Group for sponsoring and helping grow stronger connections across our industry. Several new platform updates are coming soon — more details will be announced Friday.
