HCC Is Now on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X — Here's Why It Matters
By Jason LeDay · March 29, 2026
For the past several months, the Houston Corrosion Committee has been quietly building something that didn't exist before: a structured coordination platform for corrosion professionals working across the Houston energy corridor.
The zone map is live with assets across 16 zones. Operators are filing interruption requests and project submissions. Contractors are posting availability on the bid board. Members are coordinating survey schedules to avoid the kind of interference that costs everyone time and money.
Now we're taking that conversation beyond the platform.
What's new
HCC is now active on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X. Starting this week, we'll be publishing 1–2 posts per week covering technical insights specific to the Houston corridor, regulatory updates that affect your integrity management plans, coordination wins from the membership, and meeting announcements.
This isn't a corporate social media presence. It's a direct extension of what HCC does — help corrosion professionals work smarter by knowing what's happening around them.
What you'll see from us
Practical content that's relevant to your work. Things like how seasonal soil conditions in the Houston area affect CIS data collection, what recent PHMSA documentation changes mean for your next integrity management plan, and which zones are seeing elevated activity this quarter.
If you've ever spent a week chasing interference readings that turned out to be caused by an adjacent operator's survey — and didn't find out until after the fact — that's the problem HCC solves. The blog and social channels extend that awareness to people who haven't joined yet.
Follow us
If you're already a member, follow us to stay connected between quarterly meetings. If you're not a member yet, this is a good way to see what the committee is about before you register.
Our next quarterly in-person meeting is April 22, 2026. Details will be posted here and across all channels.
Welcome to the conversation.
