The platform works when members work it: recognizing David Banks

The Houston Corrosion Committee was founded on a simple premise — that operators across the Houston region would coordinate better if they had somewhere to actually do it. A place to flag interruption windows. A place to see who's surveying which zone. A place to compare notes before two crews show up to the same right-of-way on the same Tuesday.

Premises are easy. Adoption is harder.

So when the committee looks at the platform six months in and sees that over 60% of the membership is now actively using it, that's worth pausing on. And when one member stands out for the volume and quality of what they've contributed, that's worth recognizing publicly.

This cycle, that member is David A. Banks of INEOS.

David submitted more interruption requests than any other member on the platform. Every one of those submissions did real work — gave neighboring operators visibility into planned activity, prevented a contractor from rolling into an unexpected window, and built the data record that matters when interference questions come up later.

That's what the platform is for. David used it the way it was meant to be used.

In recognition, the Houston Corrosion Committee has awarded David a $100 gift card. It's a small token relative to the field hours INEOS saved by coordinating ahead, but it matters because the committee wants to make something explicit: members who use the platform actively will be recognized for it.

This won't be a one-time thing. HCC will continue highlighting members who show up. Most operators in the Houston corridor have integrity programs that overlap with three or four other operators on any given week — the value of the committee compounds with every member who logs what they're doing. The math is simple: more participation, more visibility, fewer surprises.
